Efficiency presents a major challenge in the field of Research and Development. Research and Development at RATIONAL is therefore carried out in accordance with a precisely defined and binding innovation process. By closely involving all those concerned from the outset we have succeeded in cutting development times by up to 60 percent (Simultaneous Engineering).

The integrated innovation phase begins with basic research and at the concept phase already involves, for example, Application Research, Customer Service, Marketing and Production. Project progress is reviewed at 5 defined milestones: innovation release, implementation order, prototype release, marketing release and production readiness.
