Global supply chain disruptions:
How we're responding.

The massive pandemic-related disruptions to production and supply chains have been impacting the global economy for months now. RATIONAL is affected by this situation as well. And demand for our new iCombi and iVario is higher than ever before.

As a rule, we are known for delivering top-quality cooking systems tailored to customer specifications within 48 hours of receiving the order. That is why this situation is particularly painful for us. Plus, we know how important operational efficiency is to many of our customers – especially with the challenges posed by the pandemic.

Day after day, our employees make every effort to ensure that as many cooking systems as possible leave our production facility. And these efforts remained successful in 2021: we delivered a total of 80,000 cooking systems.

  • If we are able to manufacture, we will. Our production operations are highly flexible, even on weekends.
  • Our purchasing department checks alternative solutions and global resources for components every day, thereby also supporting our suppliers.
  • Apart from missing components, we manufacture our cooking systems in advance to the greatest possible extent and stockpiling them. This allows us to deliver faster once components are available.
  • We ensure the performance and stability of our suppliers by continuing to accept ordered goods and supporting them with expertise and technologies.

Despite all our efforts, however, we are unable to meet the massive customer demand in a timely manner.

We are aware that many customers will be dissatisfied as a result. We sincerely regret this. But it is in difficult times like these that reliable partnerships prove most valuable.

To us right now, reliability means being open and honest with our customers about the current situation.

  • We will make promises that we can keep - not beyond that. We have no interest in whitewashing, "kinda-sorta-maybe" predictions, or guesstimated time frames.
  • We deliver exceptional quality and performance, or we don't deliver at all. Because our customers should be able to rely on the quality of our products.
  • Our services will remain available without restriction, as will ChefLine and ConnectedCooking. All cleaning products and most service parts are available.
  • Our goal remains to offer our customers the best cooking tools on the market. We're looking ahead and investing in the future.

We want to deliver, and we will - as soon as we can, as quickly as possible. At the moment, however, we cannot make any reliable predictions as to when the delays in our supply chains will end.

This makes it all the more important for us to remain in close communication with our customers. We are here for you.
