Epsom College is an independent co-educational boarding and day school for 900 pupils, aged 11 to 18 years. It operates its timetable seven days per week. The kitchen is incredibly busy – not only feeding the staff and students, but also providing catering services for external customers and other schools, as well as regularly hosting functions throughout the year, including weddings, conferences and parties, as well national sporting events.
The catering at Epsom College enjoys a professional reputation with the pupils, parents, teachers and external customers. Bev’s brigade cooks a huge variety of meals – for the pupils, there’s a big emphasis on quality for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The quality is underlined at functions, where VIP four-course meals will typically include dishes such as filet steak with bordelaise sauce, or rack of lamb with a port wine jus.
