In the kitchen of BIGTREE Medicare & Nursing Home, every meal has a job to do. It must be nutritious, safe, and tailored to medical needs — but above all, it must support healing and recovery.
That’s the standard set by Balanced Kitchen — the therapeutic catering team led by founder Gan Chai Yee, which supports Melaka’s first integrated nursing home.
Each day, the team prepares four customised meals for every resident, working closely with their in-house nutritionist to support a wide range of health requirements — from renal and diabetic-friendly diets to texture-modified meals for safe swallowing.
