RATIONAL AG is the global market and technology leader for innovative cooking systems in commercial food preparation. The customer base ranges from restaurants and hotels, company canteens, hospitals, schools, universities, the military, prisons and retirement homes to fast-food restaurants, party services, supermarkets, bakeries and snack bars, butchers, petrol stations and delivery services, including so-called ghost kitchens.

According to company estimates, the global market potential for combi-steamers is 4.8 million customers, around 75% of whom still use traditional cooking appliances. With the iCombi, the iVario and the iHexagon, the intelligent cooking systems, all these appliances can be replaced. This allows customers to improve the quality of their food and save money. RATIONAL also offers a wide range of services for customers, such as accessories, care products, spare parts, training and technical services.

The results of the unique customer benefit philosophy are market leadership, growth, profitability and stability, which are expressed in the following key figures from 2023: 50% global market share, sales of EUR 1,126 million, EBIT of EUR 277 million, EBIT margin of 25%, equity ratio of 76%, dividend payout ratio of 71%.
