Demonstrate the Love of Food by showcasing your culinary skills and innovative dishes to illustrate the power of food in driving a more sustainable future.


Who can enter?

The competition is open to all chefs permanently and fully employed by Sodexo and/or agreed affiliated companies across the globe.

It's easy to enter.

Register for the Sustainable Chef Challenge and you will receive the competition package. Tell us about yourself, what inspired you to become a chef, why sustainable cooking is important to you, and most importantly, what are your sustainable dishes.

How it works.

Round 1 - Region chef challenge.

Each Region will select the top competitor to represent their region in the Chef Challenge. The submission deadline is June 28, 2024.

Round 2 - Global cook-off.

The top regional competitors will convene for the final in Paris on November 11 – 15, 2024 to showcase their skills and dish. Chefs will enjoy an immersive learning and development experience and engage with chefs from around the world.The top chef will be featured in the press, social media and the Sodexo Annual Culinary Report and receive the experience of a lifetime.

  • April 22nd

    Registration open! Participants can register their interest and they will receive the competition pack by email.

  • April 29th

    Submission open! Registered participants can submit their dishes by email.

  • June 28th

    Final date for Submission of Dishes by all registered participants.

  • July 31st

    Evaluations and selection of regional finalist by the selection panel.

  • Sept 7th

    Regional finalists announced and final dishes are carbon scored.

  • Nov 11th - 15th

    Global Cook-Off. The judging committee will vote and choose the top Sodexo chef during the final live event.
