For almost a decade, Dumplings Plus has been at the forefront of fast, convenient and quality Cantonese, North Chinese and Sichuan food.
With 15 cafes across metropolitan Melbourne, Dumplings Plus is not your traditional franchise. It prides itself on providing quality, traditional recipes, many of which have been handed down through the generations.
“We pride ourselves on providing quality family meals. Our customers expect the same standard of food regardless of which store they visit” says Raymond, Manager of the Dumplings Plus Chadstone.
Best known for their steamed dumplings, Peking duck and stir fry noodles, everything is made fresh and on site daily.
Keeping labour costs down whilst keeping food quality consistent is one of the biggest challenges Dumplings Plus faces.
“We have over 100 employees across our stores. We need cooking equipment which is simple and easy to use” says
Raymond.
“Since we started using RATIONAL in 2016, we have been able to work quicker and save up to 30 hours per week in labour costs” says Raymond.
This cost saving however has not compromised quality or consistency. “We are known for our quality. The RATIONAL unit allows us to cook our duck and roast pork perfectly every time.
We also use it for all our dumplings” says Raymond. "Our food standard has been maintained and there is less pressure in the kitchen" says Raymond.
