Since the company was founded in 1973, responsible and sustainable behaviour has been a matter of course for RATIONAL and begins as early as the product development stage. Together with universities, we conduct research into resource-saving solutions.
Our commitment is reflected in our environmentally certified production; energy-efficient sales logistics; intelligent, low-energy, efficient buildings; regularly reviewed eco-audit according to DIN ISO 14001; and our return and recycling program for our old appliances.
This makes RATIONAL a pioneer in sustainability for our entire industry.

Significant reduction in resource footprint.
Our multi-functional cooking appliances contribute enormously to reducing the energy and resource footprint in industrial kitchens. This is underpinned by the project commissioned by the Zurich University of Applied Sciences:

Sustainable management is part of our daily routine, even in ecological view. We therefore continually review our energy and raw material consumption. In addition we have committed ourselves to meet the demands of the following ISO standards:
